In diverse discussies op verschillende fora wordt geregeld de term ‘klinisch redeneren’ gebruikt. Uit de reacties maak ik op dat er geen eenduidige invulling gegeven wordt over dit begrip. Ik wil een voorstel doen om tot een eenduidige invulling te komen.
Higgs en Jones (1) worden in internationale fysiotherapeutische literatuur aangehaald met de omschrijving:
clinical reasoning is a process in which the therapist, interacting with the patient and others (such as family members or others providing care), helps patients structure meaning, goals, and health management strategies based on clinical data, patient choices, and professional judgment and knowledge.
